To the south of Teofipol, on the highway leading to the nearby village of Lenins’ka (now Pidlisky) there is a memorial to approx. 2,000 men, women and children murdered by the Nazis on January 21 and 22 of 1942 in collaboration with corrupt local policemen.
The memorial is located at the very site of this terrible deed, next to a mass grave for those whose only “crime” was to have been of the Jewish faith.
